MONDAY: 5 NOV 2007
happy birthday mummy!!! woohoo! so here we are at the thai restaurant located near my house.
my first impression of that restaurant was that, there's not much people, and i questioned myself, "is this a good sign?" because if the food is nice, definitely, there will have alot of people.

but the moment i stepped into the restaurant, i can feel this peaceful feel coming from it.
since there's not much disturbance anyway.

after ordering the $48 meal that caters four people, it consisted of seafood rice, tom yam seafood soup, one big fish, a plate of kangkong and a plate of shrimp cake. on top of that, me and my bro ordered 2 coconut drink. yum yum. then we sat there waiting.
we waited.
and waited.
and ... waited.
my mum joked that they need to catch the fish then kill it on the spot issit?

in the midst of choosing food..

here comes the fried patties, on the left, it's the shrimp cake, on the right it's the fried chicken wing. they even stuffed some additional meat inside to make the chicken wing looked bigger. cost $2 each. -.- but it's worth it.

alright. so where is the tom yam soup im talking about?
no need to find the picture of it, because that whitish soup which you all might thought is a normal seafood soup is the TOM YAM SOUP!
very very different from the normal tom yam soup that we eat right??
hohoho! this tom yam soup is spicy compared to the normal tom yam soup. just that the taste is less oil-er because of the chilli oil. but the spicyness is there. YUM YUM. and the prawns, sotong, fish are super fresh. yums.
on the left side, is a plate of seafood rice. though it looked plain, the taste is delicious. the rice is so..... oohlala!

so this interesting object on the table. cute!

this is the usage of the bunny. to store toothpicks! adorable it is!

overall the meal to me, is really sour and spicy. Thai ppl do know how to take the sourness of a green lemon. because in each dish except for the fried patties and chicken wings, all are sour!!!!
><

if you listen to the rhythm of the pouring rain...
